More happenings :)

Hey! So these last few days have been very nice and full of blessings.

To begin with, Sergio and I have been having a lot of fun and amazing days exploring Houston. The 1st thing we did was our cupcake adventure. We hit up 2 different cupcake shops in hopes of finding the most delicious cupcakes ever. We went to Crave and SugarBaby cupcakes and realized that Crave wins the cupcake battle over Sugarbaby, but Decor style goes to Sugarbaby. This day was so much fun (& fattening). After the cupcake search we took a "break" and went to Star Pizza which Sergio read about in the forums and was raved as being awesome. So we each got a slice of pizza and some garlic bread. I realized I prefer thinner crust pizza to deep dish pizza which is what we got so I didn't enjoy it as much. I love Brooklyn style pizza and bread bowls from Dominos :) Another day we went to the Yogurt Spot which is like Mochi and enjoyed some yogurt. I really liked the brownie bites they have as toppings. We went 2 days in a row b/c on Friday it was the shops 1 year anniversary and it was .29cents an ounce which was a good deal.

Another blessing we had was meeting the Flores family. They are Sergio's aunt's friends and they invited us out to dinner at Cheddar's casual dining. The food was awesome and this family is super nice. We had a great experience with them. They even helped Sergio go look at the condo we are interested in to see if it was a good buy.

Then the last great thing is that I got a work gig this weekend at Smart Drinks at Reliant Stadium making smoothies and coffees. I worked 14 hours and made about $120. Yeah! I really needed that because I am in a money deficit right now and need some serious flow.

Another fun thing we did was explore Rice University and Herman park. This was a HOT experience but exploring is always cool.

I also did a research study and got $40. YEAH AGAIN! Sergio is in the process of doing his 2nd part of his research study and will finish it tomorrow and get a nice check (in the mail) for $240 :) I am planning on getting my cavity done this week so I can participate in the study as well and my payout will be bigger b/c I am a girl.

Houston is turning out to be a good experience but I just wish I had a job so that we could be more economically free to do w/e it is we want to do. There's so much to see and do here but we can't be spending money so that's a bummer. But I feel that once we have money we will be more free to do more fun things, that don't have to do just with food.

Our diet struggle continues, but food is such a pleasure that it is hard to be happy on a diet. But we are trying :/

This week will entail STUDYING for the Nclex and figuring out the stupid insurance/tag/registration situation. I just want to get that solved so my mom can get the f*** off my back.

On the positive side I have my birthday to look forward to and my possible interview with St. Lukes.

I love you Baby for being so excited to read my blog. MUAH! Thanks for being so amazing and supportive with me. You make me feel complete and thank God for having found you :)
